I have a few reasons for attending regular training with the CMAE London and Home Counties – but one of the most important is the continuation of not only my own education but that of my managers within the club.
I recently attended a Management Skills workshop presented by Helen Bennett along with my Food & Beverage Manager and Membership & Events Manager, both of who are looking for new and improved ways to manage, coupled with a desire to move into club management themselves in the future.
Helen is one of our more regular trainers and works with the MDP programmes as well as the one off day session such as this.
A typical training day will involve plenty of opportunity of networking and the sharing of best practice during breaks in the session. The day is comprehensive and gets all attendees involved ensuring that people are able to develop and understand using practical examples.
The day concludes with a summary and then a brief test that helps bring all of the new knowledge together as well as providing great feedback for the trainer and the managers who place staff on such courses.
For those managers already qualified as a CCM, training days are all important to ensure you maintain this industry wide recognised qualification. Use the day to work with your staff and develop new ideas and objectives for development.
If you are interested in attending one of these training session or you like to support your staff in their own development click here to view the upcoming education.
